RUNNING...I love it. This picture was taken YESTERDAY after I completed my FIRST half marathon with my little sis there to push me along! :) She finished 10 minutes before me and I heard her yelling at me as I finished on the 50 yard line of the Illini football field in Champaign. It was pretty fabulous...and talk about a runner's high!!!

WEDDINGS and all things wedding-related! :) Here i am with Rosalee (in the colored lei in the back ;)) at her bridal shower last weekend, along with her lovely bridesmaids! Nicole (her older sister), Kara (fellow Augie-ite!), Rosa, Bethany (sister-in-law to-be), and me in front. We had a great weekend in MN celebrating the end of Rosalee's single-dom! ;)

(so much for posting one pic/entry per DAY of the year in here! HA! Whooops...sometimes life gets away from me! I'll post a few pictures today to make up for it....maybe I'll still get in the target/goal 365 by December 31st! ;))

Jeremy's mom gave us these last night after his birthday dinner...two huuuuge scrapbooks full of his childhood memories! :) What a fun gift...and how awesome will it be to share these with our own little boys someday?! ;) (I decided I am only having boys, by the way ;))

AWWWWWW! I've looked at them briefly previously, but can't wait to study the details! How fun!!

my fun pink luggage! Jeremy gave me an inexpensive luggage set one Christmas during grad school. Here Izzy is hiding out in the small suitcase. HA!

So, it's Valentine's Day today...and I am thankful for LOTS of things! :) My wonderful husband brought these pretty deep pink tulips home with him last night for me for Valentine's Day! How pretty, and how fun! I LOVE tulips! Thanks, babe! :)

while I don't exactly love my washer and dryer, I am thankful for the fact that they are not in the basement...they are in a closet next to my bedroom. How convenient! Oh, it's the little things! ;)

Roses! I love getting flowers (these were from my birthday last October), as silly and impractical as they might be. They just make the house seem bright and inviting when a vase of fresh flowers is around :)

Vacations, even just mini-vacations like ours (we were gone Friday morning through this evening...so just under 4 days), are fun...but it's so nice to be HOME! I am thankful for HOME...and for having a little kitty to greet us :).

The SUPER BOWL! And all of the fun food, friends, and family that goes along with it! I am not a huge sports buff, but I try to pretend I know at least a little bit...and I have fun watching sports, and I am ALWAYS up for a party :)

I am thankful Jeremy has a good group of guy friends in Bloomington that are fun, silly and put up with me, too! :)

Sarah Lormis and Jami Johnson...the two Bloomington friends we spend the most time with. I am so thankful for these girls and that they made my "transition" to life in Bloomington easier...and more FUN! In addition, they both have gone out of their way to prepare gluten free food for me when we get together!! Love you girls!

Softball games! Jeremy plays on a few leagues each summer and the games are a lot of fun to go watch. Yeah, summer is on my mind here in the middle of a cold midwest winter!! :)

It's inauguration day...so I am thankful for the right to vote!

MAX! Max was "our" kitten/cat during graduate school...Brooke (my roommate) brought him back with her the first Thanksgiving we were there. We loved Max dearly. Max passed away this past July. Honestly, Max was the first animal I was ever really attached to.

my big state farm re-usable shopping bags! SO handy...BIGGER than what you can buy at most grocery stores, and more practical! PLUS, the one in front is insulated (not that we need it this time of year when the trunk is colder than a freezer!).

A college degree! :) Here I am with Jeremy in May of 2005 right after the commencement ceremony in which I received my bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.

The Bix! A lovely "tradition" between my sister, Jeremy, and me. This is a 7 mile race in late July each summer in the Quad Cities. Megan ran her first in 03, I joined her in 04, and Jer joined us in 05...we've ran it together each summer therafter! Can't wait til Bix 09!!!
